I spent the day trekking and fishing lures along a beautiful freshwater creek in search of Australian Bass. At this time of year (mid way through the season) the Bass will have migrated up from the estuaries, well and truly into freshwater. They seem to push up even further with more and more rain. The decent rainfall at this time led me to try targeting the Bass in this remote freshwater creek where most people might think such a small body of water would not hold large Australian Bass. I myself was pretty shocked by the results I got targeting a single snag in a particularly deep pool along the creek.
